We all live a million lives
And you don’t know what you’ll get
Until you drift away tonight.

We wake up a million times
But we choose not to remember
The different air we breathe at night.

But if you wait for the moon to rise
You can go to another place
Where you can take off your disguise.

Until today it never seemed so wise
To jump into the river
That we can see when we are blind.

And we can give it a million tries
But we still won’t find the city

Sometimes I look for the different ties
But I’m sifting through the dark.
